How do I get a quotation for a product or service?

NBC will help to understand and define your needs for your application. NBC will propose the most economical option(s) to meet the requirements of your specific application. We will want to know the product you are looking for, your quality requirements, your anticipated volumes and scheduling needs. We recommend completing our inquiry form.
  

What products do NBC regularly stock?

NBC inventories nearly 90% of products in differing quantities, quality grades and pack sizes based on customer and market needs. We also have many unique items with special quality requirements stocked by request of our customers. For non-stock items or for custom manufactured products we can anticipate lead-times and work with you on a just-in-time basis to maintain your supply needs.
  

What if the product I need is not listed on your website?

NBC is constantly adding products to meet customer needs. We pride ourselves on our ability to source materials to meet new or changing requirements in a rapid fashion. Customers that rely on NBC report being able to beat the competition to the marketplace because of our ability to source and supply materials from our global network.
  

What types of experiments are your products qualified for?

Our products are available in a variety of grades. Our commitment to quality and Value Beyond Price is our pledge that our products are of the highest quality and packaged with the utmost care.
  

Where can I get protocols for using your products?

Protocols can be found as PDF files listed with the product itself. Not all of our products have linked protocols and in that case we recommend performing an internet search in order to find the protocol that best fits your experiments.
  

How do I get a technical question answered?

Whether it is on an existing product or a new product we can help. We have technical staff with a wide variety of experience in biochemistry, microbiology, chemistry, process systems and pharmaceuticals. Ask for Technical Service.
  

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept MasterCard, Visa and American Express for domestic orders via our website. Nationalbiochem.com is a secure site and all data transmitted is encrypted, protecting your credit card information.

We also accept wired funds for the purchase of our products. All customers outside the U.S. and Canada must prepay via wire transfer.

We accept purchase orders from most companies and universities with established terms. If you are a new U.S. account and wish to use a purchase order, we ask that you contact our Accounting Department for a credit application and provide us with 3 credit references and a bank reference.
  

How does my company establish an account with NBC?

Our customer service staff will be pleased to send your company a credit application and release form to begin the process. If you do not have an account, and choose “on account” as your form of payment on our Website, your order will not be processed.
  

Do you have an order minimum?

Yes. Minimum order amount is $100.00.
  

Are there any additional charges associated with my order?

There is a 10% handling charge on all orders up to $200.00; over $200.00 the charge is $20.00. All International orders are charged a $100.00 documentation fee. Where applicable, there is a charge of $15.00 per pallet for truck shipments and/or $12.00 per drum for UPS shipments. DOT hazardous shipment fee apply where applicable. All freight and insurance fees are charged collect to the customer's account, unless specifically agreed upon prior to shipping.
  

How will you ship my order?

Sales orders are shipped based on the customer’s choice of shipping company, except for situations where DOT regulations prohibit the request or where the quality of the product could be compromised. Most of our customers elect to receive their orders via UPS or common carrier. All orders are shipped FOB Twinsburg, OH, USA or ex-warehouse. We ship most of our products by UPS Second Day or UPS Ground Service. Some products require shipping by UPS Next Day, with that information contained in the product description.
  

How do I find out when my order will ship?

Usually at the time of order confirmation, an agreed upon shipping date will be established. If for any reason this may change, you will be consulted. We try to contact each customer the day after an order ships to alert you to the shipment details. Of course, our Customer Service Staff welcomes any inquiry you may have regarding order status at any time.
  

What is the Department of Transportation shipping information for this product?

Transportation information can be found on the product's MSDS. The product detail page will also alert you as to any specific shipping restrictions.
  

How are store cold products shipped?

Products are shipped according to label storage recommendations. In some cases this will require that next day shipment be employed to ensure product integrity.
  

Do you ship to countries outside of the United States?

Our Website currently only ships to U.S. customers. However, we ship to most countries. Shipping outside of the United States and Canada requires prepayment via wire transfer. Please contact our Customer Service Department for more information
  

Can I get a Certificate of Analysis with my order?

Yes. NBC supplies certificates with each shipment upon request. Also, a COA can be found on our Website by providing the lot number from the NBC Packing Slip or Invoice.
  

I need the MSDS and COA for the product I purchased. Where can I get those documents?

The MSDS and COA are usually listed on each product detail page under the References tab. If you cannot locate these documents, our Customer Service Department would be happy to help you.
  

What is your return policy?

Returns are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Please contact your sales representative or customer service with your questions. In some cases a restocking fee will apply. All returned goods must have preauthorization prior to return. All returned materials must be in their original containers and must have all the original labels intact.
